South Lubbock, TX : 1 dead in South Lubbock motorcycle crash in the 7000 block of the Interstate 27 access road on Monday, 10th June 2019

One man died after he was thrown from his motorcycle in a crash late Monday in South Lubbock.

Benjamin Perry, 56, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that was reported just before 8:30 p.m. in the 7000 block of the Interstate 27 access road, according to Lubbock police.

Based on the initial investigation, it appears Perry was traveling north in the 7000 block of the I-27 access road when he lost control and left the roadway. He was thrown from the motorcycle and later pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are looking into speed as a possible factor in the crash. The circumstances surrounding the crash remained under investigation Tuesday by LPD crash investigators.
