Concord Township, OH : Concord Township crash on Girdled Road claims life on Sunday, 27th September, 2020

The Ohio Highway Patrol's Chardon post is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash that occurred late afternoon Sept. 27.

The incident happened at about 5:45 p.m. on Girdled Road between Keystone and Summerwood drives in Concord Township, according to an OHP press release.

Anthony K. Cahoon Rock, 32, of Chardon was traveling eastbound on Girdled as Anna Sole of Chardon was heading westbound, the release said.

The investigation revealed that Rock, driving a 2014 Honda Civic, traveled left of the yellow center line and struck Sole, who was driving a 2019 Dodge Challenger.

Following impact, the Honda traveled off the south side of Girdled and came to rest near the tree line while the Dodge went off the north side of the road and came to rest near the tree line.
