NEW HARTFORD, NY : Three people were injured following a two-car accident on Tuesday, November, 21st 2017

Three people were injured following a two-car accident Tuesday on Commercial Drive, the New Hartford Police Department said.

Police say Cassandra Owens, 18, of Cassville, was attempting to make a left turn into the Men’s Warehouse Plaza when she failed to yield to the right of way to Evelyn Entwistle, 48, of Frankfort.

Owens made the turn in front of Entwistle’s vehicle, resulting in Entwistle’s vehicle crashing into the passenger side of Owen’s vehicle, police said.

Owens and her passenger were transported to St. Elizabeth Campus of the Mohawk Valley Health System, along with a passenger from Entwistle’s vehicle, police said.

Owens was issued a citation for failing to yield to right of way.
