Tuscaloosa, AL : A fatal crash on Sunday, August 6, 2017

Tuscaloosa Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at the intersection of University Boulevard and Veterans Memorial Parkway Sunday night.
The victim, possibly in his early 20s, had not been identified as of Monday morning, said TPD spokeswoman Lt. Teena Richardson.
Witnesses told officers that he was speeding and driving recklessly through traffic before colliding with another vehicle around 7:30 p.m., Richardson said. He was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead upon arrival at DCH Regional Medical Center.
Officers found prescription drugs and marijuana in his vehicle, Richardson said. The driver of the second vehicle suffered minor injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
