A pedestrian who was struck in a hit-and-run in Charleston County has died from their injuries.
Officials with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office announced the update on Sunday in connection to the incident which happened late Saturday night in Hollywood where the driver fled the scene.
The incident happened at 10:30 p.m. in the 6100 block of Dixie Plantation Road.
A witness told deputies the vehicle involved appeared to be a black Chrysler.
The Sheriff's Office Traffic Division and Forensics Services Unit is continuing to investigate.
