Jefferson County, MO : Pevely man killed in fatal car crash near Fenton on Monday night, August 22, 2016

A Pevely man was killed when his car went off a road and hit a tree Monday night near Fenton.

Benjamin R. Koenig, 27, was heading southbound on Delores Drive at Woodland Trail Drive shortly after 8 p.m. when he crossed the center line, drove off the left side of the road and hit a tree, according to a Missouri Highway Patrol crash report.

Koenig was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report. He pronounced dead at the scene.
