Los Angeles, CA : Woman killed, others injured in a crash on South Los Angeles and South Gate early Friday morning, December 4, 2015
A woman was killed and three other people were critically injured when a vehicle rolled over on the border between South Los Angeles and South Gate early this morning, authorities said.
The crash at the intersection of Tweedy Boulevard and South Alameda Street, east of the Jordan Downs Housing project in Watts, took place about 2:15 a.m., said California Highway Patrol officer Francisco Villalobos.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene and Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics transported three other people to a trauma center in critical condition, county fire Dispatch Supervisor Kyle Sanford said.
The deceased victim was a woman and paramedics took two men and a woman to the hospital, two news videographers reported from the scene.
The name of the deceased woman was withheld pending family notification.
Speed may have been a factor in the crash, according to authorities. The CHP was investigating the accident.
