Jonesboro, AR : 2 Injured in a road accident at Jonesboro on Wednesday, July 15th, 2015

An accident in Jonesboro slowed afternoon traffic and sent 2 people to the hospital Wednesday.

Emergency responders were called to the Red Wolf and Nettleton Intersection around 2 p.m.

A red van was southbound on Red Wolf Drive, stopped in the turning lane, when a red truck turning onto Red Wolf from Nettleton Drive crossed the center line and hit the van head on.

Sgt. George Martin with the Jonesboro Police Department had a warning for drivers after this wreck.

“Pay attention… slow down,” Martin said. “We are in the hot time of the year. The sun is out real bright and, you know, you're gonna have blind spots from the sun that could blind your vision. Make sure you stay calm, slow down and stay in your traffic lane.”

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital.
