HENRICO, VA : Box truck crashes into VDOT truck on I-95 on Tuesday, 21st May 2024

A box truck driver has been issued a summons after an early morning crash on Interstate 95.

Shortly after 2 a.m. on Tuesday, Virginia State Police responded to a crash involving a box truck and a VDOT truck.

Virginia State Police says the box truck driver was heading south on I-95 in Henrico near mile marker 80 when it drifted onto the shoulder and hit the VDOT truck that was working on a separate crash.

“The driver of the box truck, drove onto the shoulder, struck the SSP truck and then struck the guardrail and rolled down approximately 30 yards into a ravine,” Virginia State Police said.
