Logansport, IN : 2 injured in highway crash in Cass County on Thursday, February 16, 2017
A Peru woman and an Auburn man were injured after their vehicles collided at a highway intersection with a county road east of Logansport Thursday.
First responders were dispatched to the crash at U.S. 24 and 600 East in Cass County at 11:07 a.m. Feb. 16, according to Indiana State Police Trooper Charles Meyer.
Meyer said his preliminary investigation indicates Amanda L. Brumblough, 33, Peru, was northbound on 600 East in a maroon Dodge passenger car and failed to yield the right of way as she traveled across U.S. 24's westbound lanes.
Brumblough then struck the driver's side of a white Dodge pickup truck westbound on U.S. 24 driven by Kenneth W. Brown, 63, Auburn, Meyer continued.
The passenger car came to rest in the intersection and the pickup truck came to rest north of the highway's westbound lane.
Prompt Ambulance Central transported both drivers to Logansport Memorial Hospital with complaints of pain, Meyer said.
The Cass County Sheriff's Department and New Waverly Fire Department also responded.
