THOMPSON, NY : 1 killed, 2 injured in wrong-way crash on upstate NY highway on Tuesday, 16th October 2018

Authorities say a 33-year-old man is dead and two other people are hospitalized after a wrong-way crash on an upstate New York highway.

State police say 50-year-old Patrick Collins, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, was traveling east in the westbound lanes of state Route 17 around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday when his vehicle collided with a westbound car in the Sullivan County town of Thompson, 75 miles (120 kilometers) northwest of New York City.
