Bee County, TX : Marshall woman killed in auto-pedestrian wreck on State Highway 181 near Skidmore on Tuesday, May 17, 2016

A woman was killed after she was hit by a pickup in Bee County.

Patricia Price, of Marshall, was driving a 2004 white Jeep Wrangler with three passengers when the vehicle somehow stopped working on State Highway 181 near Skidmore about midnight Tuesday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The Jeep was pushed off the road and 39-year-old Price went into the roadway, said Trooper Nathan Brandley. It's not clear why she walked onto the roadway, he said.

About 12:04 a.m., Price was struck by a gray 2007 Ford F-150 pickup occupied by a driver and two passengers. The driver stopped to render aid, but Price was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one else was injured in the wreck.
