CORNWALL, NY : Fiery crash kills one in Cornwall on Wednesday, 3rd October 2018

State police is investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed a young adult.

State police said the vehicle, which was heading west on West Cornwall Road, went off the road for an unknown reason and struck a rock outcropping on the right shoulder of the road.

The vehicle sustained heavy damage and caught fire.

“Once the fire was extinguished by the Sharon Fire Department, a severly burned body was located in the driver’s seat,” the news release from Troop B said.
