Sparks,NV : 25-year-old Sparks man killed after being hit by car on Pyramid Highway on November, Sunday 19th 2017

A 25-year-old Sparks man was killed after being hit by a car on Pyramid Highway on Sunday, according to Trooper Dan Gordon with the Nevada Highway Patrol.
On Nov. 19 shortly before 6 p.m., NHP troopers responded to Spring Ridge Drive and Pyramid Highway for a serious injury crash involving a pedestrian and an SUV.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a red Ford Expedition was travelling southbound in the right lane approaching the intersection of Spring Ridge Drive. The driver of the Ford did not see the pedestrian in the lane and was unable to stop or avoid striking him.
Trooper Gordon says Kody Nicholas Strong, 25, was wearing dark clothing when he was hit. There was also no overhead lighting in the area. Strong succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on scene.
