Grand Bayou, LA : Two thrown from vehicle and killed in single-car wreck Thursday in Red River Parish on July 4, 2014

Two Mansfield men have died in a single-car wreck in Red River Parish.

Louisiana state troopers say Frederick D. McDaniel was driving a Toyota Camry on Louisiana 509 about 10 p.m. Thursday when he crossed the center line, steered too hard in the other direction and lost control. The car left the road and hit a tree.

Both McDaniel and his passenger, 21-year-old Cleshea F. Sudds of Mansfield, were not wearing seatbelts and were thrown from the vehicle.

Both people were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the Red River Parish Coroner's Office.

Troopers say a toxicology sample was obtained from the driver and the wreck remains under investigation.
