WELD COUNTY, CO : Four people taken to hospital after Weld County crash on Monday, 4th March 2024

Four people were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Weld County Monday.

The crash happened at the intersection of Weld County Road 34 and Colorado Boulevard at around 4:38 p.m.Colorado State Patrol Trooper Gabriel Moltrer told Denver7 the crash involved two vehicles: A Jeep Grand Cherokee and a GMC Sierra.

A preliminary investigation into the crash showed that the driver of the Jeep was going east on WCR 34 near the intersection with WCR 13 when they "proceeded from a stop and failed to yield the right of way," causing the left rear of the Jeep to get struck by the person driving by GMC Sierra. The Jeep then rotated clockwise and went off the road, rolling several times into a grassy area. The GMC Sierra, Moltrer said, "pulled to the right shoulder under its own power."
