Marysville, CA : 4 from Olivehurst killed in Highway 70 crash on Thursday, February 2nd 2017

Four Olivehurst residents, including a 6-year-old girl, were killed Thursday night in a crash that closed Highway 70 for nearly eight hours, the California Highway Patrol said today.
The Butte County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Zoua Hang, 53, of Olivehurst, and Yer Thao, 48, were killed in the accident. The two other victims’ names have not been released.
The accident happened just after 7 p.m. south of Central House Road in Butte County.
The CHP said a 1999 Honda Civic driven by a 48-year-old Olivehurst man with three passengers was southbound on Highway 70 when it lost traction on the wet pavement and slid into the southbound lane, striking a 2001 Ford Mustang driven by Lawrence Grundman, 77, of Oroville.
Grundman and his passenger, Kathleen Grundman, also 77 of Oroville, suffered major injuries and were taken to Enloe Medical Center.
The driver of the Honda and his passengers were pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP said.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, the CHP said.
Highway 70 between East Gridley Road and Lower Honcut Road just north of the Butte County/Yuba County line was closed until about 3 a.m.
