A person was killed in a crash involving a motorcycle and a tractor trailer near Belews Creek on Friday afternoon.
A large stretch of N.C. 65 was closed from Pine Hall Road heading west.
"We can confirm there was a fatality involving a motorcycle and a tractor trailer," Chief Deputy Brad Stanley said. "Highway patrol is investigating."
Homeowners were turned away from the scene and ambulances were present.
