CRANSTON, RI : Car crashes into construction truck on Route 95 on Monday, 3rd December 2018

No one was injured early Monday morning after a car collided with an attenuator truck at a construction site on Route 95 south, according to the Rhode Island State Police.

Attenuator trucks are meant to protect work zones on highways and act as a buffer in the case of a crash.

The crash took place at around 1:55 a.m. near Exit 16, state police spokeswoman Laura Meade Kirk wrote in an email.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
