A woman died after she was struck by a car late Friday in northeast Colorado Springs, police said.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was walking west in the 600 block of Winters Drive toward Nevada Avenue about 10:30 p.m. when a vehicle traveling in the same direction hit her, police said. She was taken to a hospital, where she later died.
The driver stayed at the scene and police do not suspect speeding or alcohol to be factors in the crash.
