Lexington County, SC : Man, 27, died in motorcycle crash on Highway 6 near Pelion on Wednesday night, June 29, 2016

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says a motorcyclist was killed in a crash Wednesday night near Pelion.

Troopers say the crash occurred just before midnight Wednesday on Fish Hatchery Road near Highway 6. The motorcyclist ran off the road and was thrown from the bike.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher identified the man as Alan Bradley Harris, 27, of Swansea.

Troopers say Harris was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
