DeWitt, NY : Two Syracuse University students killed, One injured in car crash on central New York turnpike on Thursday October 22 2015

Authorities say two Syracuse University students were killed and a third was injured after a car struck a tree in central New York.
Onondaga County Sheriff's Detective Jon Seeber said it happened around 12:40 a.m. Thursday on East Seneca Turnpike in front of the Clark Reservation State Park in DeWitt, a Syracuse suburb.
Seeber said a sedan carrying three people was heading east on the turnpike when the car crossed over into the westbound lane and struck a tree off the road.
The Post-Standard of Syracuse the university identified the students who died as Chengye Hou and Yifan Tao; both were graduate students from China.
A third passenger, also a student, was taken to Upstate University Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
