Burton,IL : Quincy man injured in crash near Burton on May,Monday 21th 2018

A Quincy man was injured in a Monday afternoon crash near Burton.

The Adams County Sheriff's Department reports a 2006 Kia Sorento driven by John M. Grotts, 64, of Quincy, was eastbound on E1453rd at 4:03 p.m. going around a curve to head north when it struck head-on a 1989 Ford F-150 driven by Kent F. Wellman, 48, of Quincy.

Wellman, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Adams County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital with minor injuries.

The department said Grotts was cited for improper lane usage.

The department was assisted by Adams County Ambulance and Tri-Township Fire Department.
