Lake County, IN : Indiana State trooper injured in suspected OWI crash on I-94 on Tuesday, 28th April, 2020

An Indiana State Trooper was seriously injured early Wednesday when his squad car, stopped to investigate a crash, was struck by another vehicle on I-80/94 in Lake County.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the squad car is facing preliminary drunken driving charges and remains in custody, according to Indiana State Police.
