Charlotte, VT : Two people injured in a Three-car crash in Charlotte on Tuesday evening, January 20, 2015
Police say within minutes five cars crashed in Charlotte Tuesday evening.
Troopers say around 6 p.m. two cars and a tractor-trailer collided at the intersection of Route 7 and Church Hill Rd.
The driver of one car, Malcom Francis, 45, of North Ferrisburgh, and his 10- and 5-year-old passengers were all taken to the hospital. Francis broke his collar bone; the children had minor bruising.
Police say because of that crash traffic began immediately backing up. They say the delay caused a second crash less than 1 mile up the road. There were no injuries in the second crash.
Two of the cars were totaled and two had significant damage.
