Green Township. ,IN : Driver flees crash, hits woman on Saturday ,July 25th 2015
A man crashed into a woman's car on Saturday and struck her with his vehicle after she attempted to keep him from leaving the scene, police said.
James Brown, 56, and Rhonda O'Brien, 60, crashed in front of a Penn Station at 5776 Cheviot Road in Green Township.
Brown asked O'Brien not to call the police after the crash, but she said she was injured and called, according to court documents.
Before police arrived, Brown got back into his car and attempted to leave. O'Brien stood in front of his car and attempted to stop him from driving away, but Brown drove forward, hitting her and left, police said.
O'Brien sustained injuries in the initial crash and was further injured when she was hit by Brown's vehicle, police said. She was treated at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and released.
Police found Brown at his home in Colerain Township and arrested him around 5:30 p.m.
Brown was intoxicated and driving without a license at the time of the crash, police said.
He is accused of felonious assault and possession of an open container. Brown is scheduled to appear in court on Monday morning.
