A 45-year-old Nekoma man was killed in a one-vehicle accident Wednesday night in Greeley County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Joseph V. Hoffman, Jr., was driving a 2006 GMC Sierra Pickup southbound on Kansas Highway 27 about two miles south of Tribune at about 7:48 p.m., when he left the road for unknown reasons.
After overcorrecting the vehicle, Hoffman struck a concrete culvert then crossed the highway into the opposite ditch. After rolling, the pickup came to rest on all four tires. Hoffman was ejected from the vehicle.
Hoffman was taken to St. Catherine Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:49 p.m.
According to the KHP, Hoffman was not wearing a seat belt.
