Burlington, VT : 19-year-old man died from injuries in motorcycle crash on Pearl Street in Essex Village on Saturday, May 21, 2016

A 19-year-old Essex man died from injuries he suffered after his motorcycle hit a light post on Pearl Street in Essex Village, Essex Police Department stated in a news release.

Police say that about 9:30 a.m. Saturday Alan Hogue left the parking lot of the McDonald's restaurant at 106 Pearl St. on a motorcycle heading west. Two witnesses told police Hogue first hit the curb, then a light pole.

Hogue was taken to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington with severe injuries. He died Saturday evening, police said.
