PORT ST. LUCIE, FL : Boy, 11, killed, three injured in Port St. Lucie car crash on Saturday, March 18th 2017

An 11-year-old boy was killed and his brother, mother and stepfather injured in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday in the southern end of the city, the St. Lucie County Fire District reports.Paramedics responded at 1:13 a.m. to a rollover at Southeast Southbend Boulevard and Southeast East Snow Road, across Florida’s Turnpike from Treasure Coast High School. According to crash reports, 43-year-old driver Carl Ingraham hit a curb on the roadway and lost control of his Mercury Mountaineer, causing it to roll.

Authorities say Jack Voellm, 11, was ejected from the car and died at the scene. Ingraham, the boy’s mother Kelly Ingraham, 37, and his 17-year-old brother, Thomas Voellm, were all transported to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center. All three are being treated for their injuries.

The Port St. Lucie Police Department is investigating the crash. Police officials late Saturday said it was unknown whether the occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
