Topeka, KS : A Wichita woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Monday, 2nd April 2018

A Wichita woman was injured Monday in a two-vehicle crash just east of Topeka, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Highway patrol crash logs show that just before noon, Janet Craghead, 76, was driving a 2000 Mercedes in the westbound lanes of the Kansas Turnpike when her vehicle was struck by a 2013 Chevrolet driven by Anthony Defrancesco, 70, of Woburn, Mass., who was attempting to change lanes. Craghead’s vehicle struck the median wall, the patrol said.

Both vehicles came to rest on the right shoulder. Craghead was taken to Stormont Vail Hospital with unspecified injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol said.
