Fort Pierce, FL: Trucker Critically Hurt After Collision On Florida Turnpike on Thursday, July 23rd 2015

For hours Thursday morning, a major crash blocked all lanes of the Turnpike heading southbound through St. Lucie County. The lanes were re-opening after 9
a.m.According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash involved two tractor trailers and another vehicle. They say one of the truck drivers is critically injured.One
of the trucks was carrying produce; the other was carrying empty containers.The Turnpike had been shut down to all southbound traffic just before Okeechobee Road/SR-
70. Durind the shutdown it was being diverted at exit 193/Yeehaw Junction. Northbound traffic was occasionally shut down to allow traffic through and relieve some of
the southbound congestion.The truck driver with critical injuries has been identified as Christian M. Liddy of Tavares. He's at Lawnwood Medical Center.
