Two drivers have died in separate crashes in the Nebraska panhandle.
The Nebraska State Patrol says 55-year-old James Nelson, of Harrisburg, was killed Tuesday morning when the car he was driving left Highway 71 just north of Kimbrall and rolled several times. Investigators say Nelson was the lone occupant of the vehicle and died at the scene.
The patrol says later in the day, 30-year-old Wiley Cross, of Torrington, Wyoming, was killed when the pickup he was driving turned west onto Highway 26 near Minatare and collided with an eastbound semitrailer.
Investigators say Cross died at the scene. Two passengers in the pickup were taken to a Scottsbluff hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening. The driver of the semi was not injured.
