Lawrence, MA : Motorcycle riders dies in crash on Route 114 near the North Andover line on Thursday, September 22, 2016

Police say one person was killed and two others were hurt in an accident involving a motorcycle, two pedestrians and a car in Lawrence.

Police say a 64-year-old Methuen man was riding a motorcycle on Route 114 near the North Andover line at about 12:30 a.m. Thursday when he struck two pedestrians in a crosswalk.

The motorcyclist, identified as William Bickford, was then hit by a car that drove away without stopping. Bickford was pronounced dead at the scene. The pedestrians, described as a man and woman in their 20s, were taken to hospitals.

Police are seeking the car. They say it's possible the driver was not aware the vehicle struck someone.
