Crown Point, IN : Four people injured in Chesterton school bus crash on Monday afternoon, March 20, 2017
Four people were treated for minor injuries Monday afternoon in a three-vehicle accident involving a school bus outside Chesterton High School, according to a Chesterton Fire Department official.
Firefighters were dispatched at 3 p.m. to the high school at 2125 S. 11th St. after receiving reports of the accident, according to Capt. Rudy Jimenez of the Chesterton Fire Department.
Jimenez said a chain collision caused a passenger vehicle to rear-ended a school bus, which contained students, in front of the high school.
Four occupants of two passenger vehicles were transported to Porter Regional Hospital to be treated for minor injuries, according to Jimenez.
