GOSHEN, IN : 17-year-old leads Goshen police on chase that ends in 4-vehicle crash on Tuesday, 20th February 2024

A 17-year-old boy has been flown to the hospital after police say he led them on a chase that ended in a four-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning in Goshen.

The Goshen Police Department says officers were trying to stop a speeding car around 10:35 a.m. The car headed east on Pike Street before going north on Elkhart Road (US-33).

The chase reportedly ended when the car, driven by a 17-year-old boy, drove between two northbound vehicles, left the northbound lanes, crossed a median, and collided with a semi-truck head-on near Ferndale Road and Elkhart Road.

According to our reporting partners at The Goshen News, a total of four vehicles were involved in the wreck, including two cars, one SUV, and one semi-truck.
