Clermont, FL : Van sandwiched between two vehicles after crash near the intersection of U.S. Highway 27 and Hooks Street on Wednesday morning, September 24, 2014
A commercial van sandwiched between a dump truck and another vehicle in a Clermont crash was left on its end.
The four-vehicle crash happened Wednesday morning near the intersection of U.S. Highway 27 and Hooks Street.
Three people were taken to South Lake Hospital Emergency Room with non-life-threatening injuries, according to officials.
Clermont police said it's not known what caused the dump truck to strike the rear of the van in front on him. The van was owned by a pool supply company and was carrying chlorine as well as muriatic acid, both of which were spilled on the roadway, police said.
U.S. Highway 27 was closed for a short time while the Clermont Fire Department cleaned the spill. The roadway reopened about two hours later.
