FARGO, ND : Car crashes into Main Avenue building on Saturday, 29th September 2018

Authorities responded to an incident early this morning in which one vehicle struck a building across from McDonald's restaurant on Main Avenue.

The incident was reported at 2:09 a.m., according to the Fargo Fire Department. The structure of the building was not compromised and was deemed safe.Michael Orchard Studio occupies the space at 910 Main Avenue where the vehicle struck, according to John Albrecht, the owner of the building.

Kate Lucero, who lives in the upper level of a nearby building, said she was in bed when she heard a squeal and a crash and then looked out her window.

She described a large van at the scene of the crash and pedestrians running over to help. "Then the van backed up and just took off," she said. "It was definitely the van that crashed into the building."

There has been no official word on the cause or the condition of those involved in the crash.
