NEWBURY TOWNSHIP, OH : A Newbury man died in a crash on Sunday, June 25, 2017

A Newbury man died in a crash after losing control of his motorcycle Sunday, according to the Chardon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Paul E. Collister, 58, was riding his 2014 Harley Davidson Tri-Glide north on Munn Road at about 8:20 p.m. when he failed to stop at the intersection of Bell Street, according to OHP reports.

As Collister turned left on Bell Street, he lost control and drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a ditch before overturning, the OHP report said.

Collister was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene, according to OHP reports.

He was not wearing a motorcycle helmet. Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor, the OHP reports.

The crash is under investigation.
