Chittenden County, VT: Woman in critical condition after motorcycle crash on Saturday, July 25th 2015

Vermont State Police said a woman was in critical condition after a motorcycle crash on Vermont Route 17 in Buels Gore.Authorities said Ellen Friedrich, 45, was traveling west when she lost control of her motorcycle while negotiating a curve. The vehicle fell on its side. Police said Friedrich was thrown to the ground and she hit her head.Friedrich was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center, where she is in critical condition.Police said Friedrich was not wearing a department of transportation-approved skull cap helmet.
