Hudson, WI : Motorcycle rider left with critical injuries in crash on Interstate 94 near Hudson on Sunday night, September 7, 2014
Two Minnesota men were injured, one of them critically, while riding with a group of motorcycles on Interstate 94 near Hudson, Wis. on Sunday night.
The group of about eight motorcyclists was riding about 7:45 p.m. when the lead motorcyclist dropped an item and began to slow down. The second motorcyclist also began to slow and was struck by a third motorcyclist, ejecting the third motorcyclist into a lane of traffic where he was struck by a car, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.
The third motorcyclist, Duwayne Standberry, was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul. He was in critical condition late Sunday, but was conscious and talking before being taken to the hospital, the State Patrol said.
The second motorcyclist, Jerome Morris of Brooklyn Center, was treated at Regions for injuries sustained when he struck the median's cable barrier.
