HENRICO, VA : Driver severely injured in crash that closes I-295 South on Sunday, 4th February 2024

Henrico police are investigating a tractor-trailer crash that resulted in the closure of I-295 South on Sunday.

Officials say the accident occurred just after 1:30 p.m. on I-295 Southbound before the Airport Drive exit.

One driver was involved in the crash and had to be taken by medical flight to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Interstate 295 Southbound was closed for a medical flight to land and transport the patient.
