Houston, TX : One person killed in car crash into light pole on Telephone Road in Houston on Tuesday, Aug 4, 2015

A motorist died after crashing into a light pole in southeast Houston.
Police said the driver lost control of the car at about 5 p.m. Tuesday while traveling at a "high rate of speed" along Bellfort near Telephone.
The speeding car collided into a light pole in front of a CVS pharmacy at the intersection. The pole fell into the parking lot.
Houston firefighters pulled the driver's body from the wrecked car. He has not been identified.
The fatal crash remains under investigation, police said.
