Honolulu, HI : Two people injured in a car crash involving a police car on Keeaumoku street on Sunday morning, July 31, 2016

Sunday morning, a car crash involving a police car sent two people to the hospital.

Police say the car was heading west on Keeaumoku street when a Nissan Sentra ran a red light and hit it.

According to Emergency responders, a 20-year-old man was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

A 33-year old man also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

EMS reports that another man refused treatment.

A suspect who had just been taken into custody was inside the police car at the time.

Officers were unable to confirm whether the suspect was injured but they did say the officer was not injured.
