Phoenix,AZ : Woman dead, man arrested after crash on I-17 in Phoenix on October, Sunday 8th 2017

Authorities say a woman is dead and a man is in custody after a crash on Interstate 17 in Phoenix.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say the single-vehicle accident occurred Sunday morning south of Camelback Road.

Troopers say the vehicle hit a concrete wall on the freeway and the driver tried to flee.

DPS officials say troopers were able to locate the driver and arrest him, but his name and age aren’t immediately available.

The name of adult woman who died also has yet to be released.

DPS officials didn’t say if there was a relationship between the driver and the woman.

They say their investigation is ongoing.
