STAMFORD, CT : Pedestrian, 75, struck crossing Stamford street on Wednesday, 5th October 2016
A 75-year-old pedestrian was struck on Summer Street Wednesday morning.
George Little, of Stamford, was crossing Summer Street at the corner of Fourth Street when he was struck by a 2010 Toyota Rav4 about 11:30 a.m., police said.
The driver, Nitin Kale, 48, of Fourth Street, said he was looking for southbound cars coming down Summer Street as he was stopped at the intersection, police said. He told police he did not see Little before pulling away from the stop sign and almost completing his turn, police said.
Little told police he had no recollection of the crash or where exactly he was in the intersection when he was struck.
Police are investigating the accident and no charges were immediately filed.
