Portland, OR : One person killed in car crash On Wednesday , August 19 2015

Police have released the name of the man that died early Wednesday morning after crashing a car into the back of a garbage truck on Northeast Prescott Street in Portland.
Officers were called out to Northeast 47th and Prescott around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday on reports of a serious injury crash.
The car's driver, Byron Dewayne Watterson, 45, suffered traumatic injuries in the crash. Medical staff pronounced him dead shortly after arriving on-scene.
Police said Watterson was speeding in his Chrysler Concorde when he hit the back of the Waste Management truck, which was backing out of an apartment parking lot on the north side of the street.
The truck's driver, 55-year-old Richard Godfrey, wasn't hurt in the crash.
