New Bedford , MA : One man was injured after hit by 60- years old cab driver while man was crossing Street on wednesday , December 10th 2014

A New Bedford cab driver is accused of hitting a man with his cab and taking off.

Police say Star Taxi driver, 60-year-old Michael Pereira, struck a man in the leg who was crossing George Street Wednesday night.

Officers later tracked Pereira down at the cab company where he works where they discovered he was driving on a suspended license and arrested him.

The man who was struck was taken to the hospital. There has been no word on his condition.
