Muscogee County, GA : Man killed in 2-vehicle accident on Manchester Expy. Monday, September 12, 2016
Police and first responders are on the scene of an accident near County Line Road and Manchester Expressway on Monday afternoon.
The Muscogee County Coroner's Office says that one person has died from the wreck. The victim was in the car and had a collision with an 18-wheeler.
Officials say 55-year-old Flint Eugene Sharp died from blunt force trauma. A toxicology report is pending.
The accident happened around 1 p.m. on Monday.
Commuters are advised to find an alternate route as traffic still backed up in the area and Manchester Expressway is shut down.
Sgt. Chris Anderson with CPD's motor squad suggests drivers headed that way should avoid that area and take other suggested routes such as Warm Springs Road to County Line Road north or McKee Road to County Line Road north.
