Investigators believe rainy weather may have contributed to a fatal crash Tuesday afternoon.

The Utah Highway Patrol reported Darryl Roberts stopped at a stop sign at 460 West and 2000 North just after 1 p.m. before turning west onto state Route 164, into the path of an eastbound car. The car broadsided Roberts' vehicle.

Roberts, who was not wearing a seat belt, died from his injuries. The driver and two occupants of the oncoming car, a Ford Focus, were treated for minor injuries sustained from airbags and seat belts.

There is no indication that drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash, UHP reported. It is believed the rain that was falling at the time may have been a factor in the accident.
