Houma motorcyclist killed in New Iberia crash New Iberia Louisiana

A Saturday crash in New Iberia claimed the life of a Houma motorcyclist, police said.Alex Ricks, 21, was killed after he lost control of his motorcycle, crashed into a house and was thrown off the bike, according the Iberia sheriff’s Capt. Ryan Turner.The crash happened about 2:30 a.m. at East St. Peter and Bank streets, he said. Ricks was dead when help arrived.Ricks was wearing a helmet. Blood-alcohol tests, required by state law in all fatal crashes, are pending.
